IBM System Storage TS2340 Tape Drive
The IBM System Storage™ TS2340 Tape Drive Incorporates the latest generation of advanced Linear Tape-Open™ (LTO) technology. This system replaces the 3580 tape systems. The TS2340 Tape Drive is designed to handle backup, save and restore, and archival data storage needs of a wide range of small systems. In addition, the TS2340 provides added security features by supporting encryption of data with 3 Gbps SAS connectivity.
The IBM System Storage TS2340 Tape Drive is an excellent tape storage solution for low-cost backup and real-time archival storage. The TS2340 offers high-capacity performance to help address the most demanding requirements. The TS2340 has a physical storage capacity of up to 1.6 TB when used with the new IBM Ultrium 800 GB data cartridge. Double the capacity of the Ultrium 3 technology. The data transfer performance of the TS2340 Tape Drive has increased to 120 MBps. The IBM TS2340 Tape Drive continues to provide an excellent alternative to slower and smaller capacity 1/4-inch, 4 mm and 8 mm DLT/SDLT tape drives.
IBM 3580 LTO Tape Drives
Bytek carriers a complete line of 3570, 3580 and 3590 LTO tape systems, which have been discontinued from IBM. The IBM TotalStorage 3580 model L33 Tape Drive is an external drive utilizing the IBM LTO® technology. This is an external stand-alone or rack-mountable unit, similar to previous models of the 3580 and is the entry point for the family of IBM Ultrium tape products. The IBM 3580 Tape Drive provides an excellent migration path from digital linear tape (DLT or SDLT), 1/4-in, 4mm, or 8mm tape drives. The IBM System Storage™ TS2230 Tape Drive Express LTO3 HH Model is the answer to growing storage requirements in today’s ever expanding data storage environment. Linear Tape-Open (LTO) technology in a half-high format, makes the TS2230 Tape Drive ideally suited for handling the backup, save and restore, and archival data storage needs of small systems.
The IBM System Storage TS2230 Tape Drive Express LTO3 HH Model is an excellent tape storage solution for businesses requiring low-cost, real-time back up. The TS2230 has a storage capacity of up to 800 GB (with 2:1 compression) when using the IBM TotalStorage® LTO Ultrium 400 GB data cartridge. Double the capacity of the Ultrium 2™ technology. Along with its higher capacity the TS2230 Tape Drive offers a native data transfer rate of up to 60 MBps. The TS2230 Tape Drive provides an excellent alternative to slower and smaller capacity 1/4-inch, 4 mm and 8 mm DLT/SDLT tape drives.
